  • Job Title: Substitute Custodian

    Reports To: Site Director

     

    Position Overview:
    The Substitute Custodian provides coverage when the regular custodian is absent for a single day or consecutive days. In addition to custodial responsibilities, this position may provide fill-in support at the front desk or in the classroom as a substitute teacher, depending on school needs.

     

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Maintain cleanliness of classrooms, offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas.
    • Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and empty trash.
    • Ensure restrooms are stocked, sanitized, and in proper working condition.
    • Assist with setting up and tearing down furniture or equipment for events.
    • Perform minor maintenance tasks or report maintenance issues to appropriate staff.
    • Follow safety guidelines for cleaning chemicals, equipment, and supplies.

     

    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Previous custodial experience preferred but not required.
    • Ability to adapt to different responsibilities as assigned.
    • Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.

     

    Working Conditions:

    • On-call/as needed for custodial absences.
    • Must lift up to 50 lbs, stand, bend, and use cleaning equipment.
    • Flexible and available for short-notice assignments.
  • Job Title: Substitute Support Staff (Front Desk)

    Reports To: Site Director

     

    Position Overview:
    The Substitute Support Staff provides coverage when front desk is absent. This role may include greeting and assisting visitors, answering phones, and performing clerical tasks. Flexibility is key, as duties may shift based on the school’s daily needs.

     

    Duties:

    • Greet and assist visitors, staff, and students at the front desk.
    • Answer phones, take messages, and direct calls.
    • Monitor visitor check-in/out for security.
    • Provide clerical support (filing, data entry, mail).
    • Supervise students and follow lesson plans as a classroom substitute.
    • Maintain a safe and respectful environment.

     

    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Clerical or teaching experience preferred but not required.
    • Strong communication and organizational skills.
    • Flexible, dependable, and adaptable to different roles.

     

    Schedule:
    On-call/as needed to cover front desk or classroom absences.
