This major prepares students to install, configure, operate, and troubleshoot medium-size routed and switched networks, including implementation and verification of connections to remote sites in a wide area network (WAN). Students are introduced to wireless networking concepts and security prevention measures. Students in this major gain the technical skills required for Cisco Certified Network Associate, Cisco Certified Entry Level Technician, CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, and/or Microsoft Certified Professional industry certifications. Teaching will be implemented using the Cisco method.
