Job Title: Welding Instructor

Location: Thomas, Oklahoma

Position Type: Full-Time, 10-month

Job Description:

As a Career Technology Welding Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction and training to students pursuing careers in welding. In addition to leading our welding program in the mornings, you will also teach our Technical Applications Program to 7th-9th graders in the afternoons. This role offers the unique opportunity to inspire and guide students of varying ages and backgrounds toward success in welding and technical education.

Key Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):

  1. Develop and deliver comprehensive welding curriculum aligned with industry standards and student learning objectives.
  2. Conduct engaging classroom lectures, hands-on demonstrations, and practical exercises to facilitate student learning and skill development.
  3. Provide individualized instruction and support to students, including feedback on technique, safety, and professional conduct.
  4. Maintain a safe and organized welding lab environment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and best practices.
  5. Assess student performance through tests, projects, and practical assessments, and provide constructive feedback to promote continuous improvement.
  6. Collaborate with colleagues and industry partners to stay updated on emerging trends, technologies, and best practices.
  7. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching effectiveness and stay current with industry advancements.
